The new digs
Sorry to leave you all hanging! I announce that I found a new place, and then promptly spend a week completely MIA. I've been settling in and slowly acquiring the missing things around this apartment (like sheets that fit the bed properly, a night stand, a hookah... you know, the basics) and enduring a week of pretty torrential rain! I had no idea Lisbon had rain like this, but I'm hoping it's just the transition period from summer to fall and it won't be common this year.
So, without further ado, I present you with my apartment. Blogger doesn't seem to want to let me upload photos right now, so you will have to go to picasa to see some pictures.
Sadly, writing this and fighting with blogger and sorting through some old photos took up the hour I had to post, so now I gotta run! I'm going to some gathering of Erasmus students (all the EU exchange students basically) so hopefully I'll meet some more cool people there. I still have very few photos, but I'll be sure to take my camera with me more often and get some so that I can share them with everyone.
I love you all!

Yeah! Thanks for the post and the map and the pictures. Your place looks great. It will be a different experience living right in the city. I like the view from the balcony - that will be nice to enjoy. And, get this - the Lisbon weather forecast is clear skies for the next five days, and highs in the 70's!!
Looks pretty sweet! Is that a little park to the west? Have you explored the neighborhood much yet?
Yeah, there is a little park over there, and it seems to have chickens and roosters in it! I'm not quite sure how that works, or if they belong to someone, but they seem to get along well with all the pigeons.
Awesome place, looks like a very nice home. I am glad you were able to find an apartment and move out of the student housing. You just carried all your stuff with you when you moved?? Sounds like Peace Corps!!
