Leaving Berlin

Berlin is a very interesting city and has kept me very busy over the
last few days. I arrived on Monday from Copenhagen and just stayed at
the cafe in the hostel that night but I meet some cool people
including a woman from Portugal traveling for a year! The next day the
two of us went on a bike tour of the city and saw a lot of the sights.
Tons of monuments and memorials around this place. I can't believe the
wall was up for 28 years, so hard to comprehend. We met some more
people on the tour including a guy from chicago and a girl from Mexico
so the 4 of us grabbed a drink after the tour and then went on a pub
crawl that night. Tons of fun! The next day I slept off my hangover
and then saw the Reichstag building in the evening and grabbed some
good food and beer. Yesterday I went to the Sachshenhausen
Concentration Camp, which was really intense but really amazing to
see. Now I'm about to head to the train to go to Prague today! I'll be
there for 4 nights, then I'm meeting a friend I made in London in
Amsterdam where we'll stay maybe 4 nights too, and then to Brussels
for me and finally to Italy! Oh, and I'm definitely going to see VNV
Nation while I'm in Prague, so excited!!

Only 12 days left of traveling, then I settle into my new place in
Italy. I'm quite excited.

Love you all!
