Here at last!!
Well, here I am in lovely Edinburgh, Scotland. I don't have time to write much because I'm using the internet at a library, but I just wanted to let you all know that I'm hear safe and sound, and that I'm having an awesome time already. Gorgeous weather (surprisingly hot!), beautiful city, fun people, etc, etc. Anyway, that said, I'm off to find some dinner, hike up the Kings Seat, and then find me some authentic Scottish pub with some authentic Scottish Scotch! (...or whiskey)
Once I get settled into my room at stirling and have internet access on my laptop, I'll post a bunch of pictures, but till then you'll just have to imagine how pretty it is.

Q - yip, yip, yipperooney for you being in Scotland! It sounds like the weather is great - I was surprised to see you say it was even "hot". Hope you had a good hike and enjoyed your Scotch!
Mmmm, Scotch... :) I think you are allowed to say "Scottish whisky" instead of Scottish Scotch. Also, note that in Scotland it's Whisky, in Ireland it's Whiskey. True. You can save yourself embarrassment in front of that hot Scottish lass by remembering that there's an 'e' in Ireland, so there's an 'e' in their whiskey. More than you wanted to know.
I'm glad to hear your there and having fun already, and I have to admit I'm suuuuper jealous. Super. Jealous. Good thing I'm leaving tonight on a road trip to the Scottish/Irish Fest in Estes Park. It's not the highlands, but it's damn close, and I'll make sure to raise a glass your way.
